What is SkyLoom?
Introduction
SkyLoom designs and flies choreographed drone light shows. A fleet of illuminated drones draws shapes, logos and animations in the night sky, timed to music, for festivals, weddings, city events and brand launches.
The shows
Every show is built around the event: the story, the music and the colours. Designers preview the full choreography in 3D before a drone leaves the ground, then licensed EU pilots fly it on site. Permits, insurance and the safety case stay with SkyLoom from the first call to landing.
A show can start from a ready-made sequence and add names, logos and symbols, or it can be designed from scratch.
- Spark — 50 drones, a pre-made show for weddings and private events
- Aurora — 100 drones, a pre-made show for festivals and corporate events
- Constellation — 100 drones, custom choreography for a launch or a story that needs its own formations
The fleet
SkyLoom flies 100 Light Dynamix PIXEL drones, built in the UK. Each aircraft is one pixel in the sky: ultra-bright RGBW lights, centimetre-level RTK positioning, and a show flight of about 15 minutes. Spark uses 50 of them. Aurora and Constellation use the full fleet of 100.
From the first call to the sky
- A short conversation about the event, the audience and the venue.
- A 3D preview of every formation, revised until it matches the brief.
- Site survey, risk assessment, flight permits and a weather plan.
- Show night: the fleet rises, the music starts, and the audience looks up.
SkyLoom is based in Harghita County, Romania, and flies regularly in Romania and Hungary. Other EU venues are possible by arrangement. Write to contact@skyloom.ro, or start from the SkyLoom home page.
