What is a drone light show?

A drone light show is a choreographed aerial display where illuminated drones fly in formation to create shapes, logos and animations synchronized to music. SkyLoom designs and operates shows for weddings, festivals and brand events across Romania and Hungary, with licensed EU pilots handling permits, insurance and safety end to end.

What we weave

One sky, endless canvases

Every show is choreographed from scratch — your story, your music, your colors, drawn by a fleet of light drones.

How it works

From idea to airborne in four steps

  1. Tell us your story

A short call about your event, audience, venue and the moment you want to create. We advise on fleet size, timing and what works best at your location.

  2. Preview the choreography

Our designers build the full show in simulation. You watch a 3D preview of every formation and transition — and we iterate until it's exactly right.

  3. We clear the sky

Site survey, risk assessment, flight permits and weather planning — the paperwork and safety engineering are entirely on us.

  4. Showtime

The fleet rises, the music starts, and for the next minutes your audience won't look anywhere but up.

FAQ

Before you ask

What is a drone light show?

A drone light show is a choreographed display where illuminated drones fly in synchronized formations to draw shapes, logos and animations in the sky, usually timed to music. SkyLoom designs the choreography in 3D preview, then flies it with licensed EU pilots at your venue.

How much does a drone light show cost?

Pricing depends on fleet size, show duration, venue and choreography complexity. SkyLoom offers three starting tiers — Spark (~8 min, intimate events), Aurora (~12 min, festivals and corporate) and Constellation (~20 min, headline shows). Request a quote at contact@skyloom.ro for a tailored proposal.

Where does SkyLoom operate?

SkyLoom is based in Harghita County, Romania, and regularly flies shows across Romania and Hungary. We also travel to other EU locations by arrangement. Contact us in Romanian, Hungarian or English.

How much space does a drone show need?

We need a flat take-off and landing zone of roughly 15 × 15 metres and a safety radius around the flight area that depends on the venue and audience layout. We assess every location during the site survey.

What happens if the weather turns bad?

Light rain and moderate wind are usually fine, but heavy rain or strong gusts ground the fleet for safety. We monitor forecasts together with you and agree on a backup window or date in advance.

How far in advance should we book?

Choreography design and flight permits take time, so we recommend reaching out at least 4–6 weeks before your event. For large or complex shows, earlier is better.

Is a drone show safe and legal?

Yes. Every show is flown by licensed pilots under EU drone regulations, with a full risk assessment, geofenced flight zone and independent safety systems on every drone.
